Just a few things.

February 12, 2010

This week has been a pretty busy one. Matt went back to Washington Sunday afternoon and so it was back to being just Reaghan and me. We’ve kind of settled into our own routine. I furiously cleaned the house the first part of the week. The house should go on the market in the next few days. It’s crazy I can’t believe it! I’ll post a link when I get it from the Realtor.

Monday night Reaghan had a cheerleading event at the Deer Creek High School. She had a lot of fun. The cheerleaders had a “Gliz & Glam” party before the performance to do the girls’ hair, makeup and nails. Reaghan and her best friend, Gabby, were in heaven and did everything the same. These two are a mess! They have known each other since they were born. Sometimes it makes me sad that they won’t grow up together. Maybe I should say that they won’t grow up next door to each other instead. I overheard them telling the cheerleaders whilst getting their makeup done about Reaghan moving. The cheerleader said they could still be pen pals and write and stuff. Reaghan and Gabby quickly informed her that they would be talking on the computer via Skype. (Like, totally! Duh! What is this pen and paper form of communication you speak of?)

Matt is still loving Washington. He just wishes Reaghan and I were there, too. Here are a few more pictures that he’s been sending.

Matt's view from Anacortes on his way to work in Mt. Vernon.

There are little drive through coffee shops everywhere. Matt is very excited about this. Me, not so much.

Last week I talked about the “rest week” of my Marathon training. This week I start upping my mileage again. I’ll get up to 15 miles in this block. It’s crazy to think about running so far! I like it though, and am looking forward to the challenge. I’m going to be switching up my training a bit this week. The “plan” I’ve been following has Monday intervals that vary from 400m to 1600m. But after talking with my pseudo-coach I am changing them to just 800m where I will do an 800 within 4 minutes, followed by a 4 minute recovery. This will help me build VO2 max better. Yippie!

So here’s the playlist that is going to get me through it all:

  • Electric Feel – MGMT
  • Oxford Comma – Vampire Weekend
  • Good Life – Kanye West
  • Buzzin’ – Shwayze
  • Blame It – Jamie Foxx
  • We Takin Over Remix – DJ Khaled
  • Superstar – Sonic Youth
  • All the Right Moves – OneRepublic
  • Hey Ya! – OutKast
  • How Bizzare – OMC
  • SexyBack – Justin Timberlake
  • Gone Going – Black Eyed Peas
  • Angel – Shaggy
  • This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race – Fall Out Boy

I got Reaghan’s Valentine’s Cards back yesterday. They turned out great. I’ll post it on Sunday! Have a great weekend.

SexyBack goes from the worst song ever to the best song ever when I run. It probably has something to do with me trying to lose a lot of weight. :)

I like the post from fb, it makes it easy when you have an update.
