Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I should say good night till it be morrow.

Matt left today. I’m sad about this. But, I have to say that I’m taking it better than I thought I would (today). I was really upset a few days ago, and maybe I got all my crying out then. I think Matt thought I was possessed. That’s OK. He needs to be scared of me every now and then.

Truth is, my first thoughts about Matt being gone were that it might be kind of liberating. Reaghan and me on our own… The closet space! The bed to myself! (I don’t share my space well, either.) But a weekend, or maybe a week… good time away. Five months? I’m not so sure. I have no doubt I’ll be fine. I’m an independent girl. I’ve been on my own before – many times. After 10 years of marriage though, it’s so easy to just depend on that other person.

***So, scratch everything above.***

I started writing this blog post during my Hibdon incident and finally everything was finished there. So, I left and called Matt to see how he was doing… Not doing so great after that. I cry sporadically. Sometimes on the phone. Sometimes in my car. Sometimes when Reaghan says she wishes she were a butterfly so she could fly to Washington and see her Dad.

I ran with my girlfriends this afternoon. And really there’s no better therapy than that. Because even if we all have our own issues, some worse than others, we’re still there together. Supporting each other just by our presence and our feet hitting the road.

So, on to running. I did finally come up with a somewhat structured training plan. I’ll post that below. I also use this nifty little online calculator from McMillan Running that helps me figure what speeds I need to try to run at for each of my intervals, tempos, etc. It will also predict what you should be able to race various distances at based off the race time you enter into the calculator. It’s just a guide, but it’s fun to use and helps you to set goals. Here’s my playlist this week:

Gangsta Luv – Snoop Dogg
Fell in Love with a Girl – White Stripes
Fire Burning – Sean Kingston
The Way I Are – Timbaland
Come on Eileen – No Doubt
American Boy – Estelle
Don’t Touch Me – Busta Rhymes
Future Sex/Love Sounds – Justin Timberlake
Pretty Vegas – INXS
Lazy Eye – Silversun Pickups
Poker Face – Lady Gaga (Yes, there will always be some Gaga on my playlist!.)
Music is my Hot, Hot Sex – CSS
Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down – Fall Out Boy
Miss Murder – AFI

Here is my pseudo-training plan:

And thanks, again, to everyone who has had such nice things to say to us about moving and all the offers to help. It means so much to us.

Love the play list. Looks like it keeps you moving.

Keep your chin up. The next 5 months will go VERY quickly. Enjoy your time With Reaghan.
